English version: Sparkler challenge

This is a challenge for the whole world - between December the 5th and 8th.

Light a sparkler as a symbol of your belief that humanity is above all else.

Light a sparkler if you believe that there are still more things that unite us than divide us.

Light a sparkler if you are willing to help even a person you don't know if he is from your shore.

Light a sparkler if you're tired of having a sticker. Light a sparkler if you miss your loved ones who have found themselves on another shore.

Post your sparkler video on the internet with #prskavkovavyzva #sparklerchallenge # with your town. Light a sparkler as a symbol of light and a spark of hope.

Dear people,

I don't know if you have noticed, but we, ordinary people, family people, simply people, are at war.

Only after a great tragedy, after some spilled blood, after the scorched earth and destroyed human lives, it doesn't really matter how it all had started. And that's exactly what's happening...

Don't you feel that this war, which has crept among us somehow unnoticed, is starting to go over everyone's head, but also over our hearts?

I would therefore like to invite you to try to change this kind of world. I would like to invite you to try to connect the two shores again.

Forget for a moment everything that divides us. Today we don't have to look for it... It is obvious, it can be seen, it can be heard at every step. Today, it is much easier to find what divides us than to see what still unites us all.

If you believe that such things still exist, join the idea and light up a sparkler as a symbol of faith, hope and humanity. Post a video on social media with hashtag #sparklerchallenge between December the 5th and 8th.

Let's all take the first step to bring slowly the two shores together. Start in your family, start among friends, colleagues... We all have someone on the other side. Think of someone you could send this invitation to.

Anyone who joins this challenge seems to be giving a signal that he or she  agrees with the idea that even though we have different opinions on many things, we don't have to hate each other.

I know what many of you, on both banks, are thinking right now. And believe me, it will be hard for me too. In a second, I too will think of people who have hurt me, who have disappointed and insulted me, whom I would hopefully never need to see or hear again. I wouldn't even want anything to connect me with them, but then I realize that it can't be about us - individuals... It's about much more.

If you really think that the sparkler does not belong in your hands, please answer the following question: If a mother with her child walks in front of you and suddenly, for no apparent reason, falls to the ground, it will be clear that she needs help, what would you do?  Would you help her without hesitation because you are also a human, maybe a parent, or would you first find out if your political and cultural-social views on life and the world are the same? And even if you happened to know that they were not, would you let her just be? Lying on the ground in front of her terrified, crying child and would you walk away? Don't you wonder if she dies there? Can you save her life? So, what would you do? I believe that I know what your answer is, and therefore I know that you are among the people who have the power to change the world. Or at least try to.

After all, I know that everything that divides us will not disappear with the wave of a magic wand or with the magic of approaching Christmas.

I know that we will always be different, but that is not and has never been the problem. The problem is that we have forgotten what unites us. We are people. We have our lives, we have our dreams and plans, we have parents, we have children and we also have our fears, pains and difficult trials.

Let the lights of the sparklers symbolize what remains the same and common in us. Trust me, there's still plenty.

This idea comes from Slovakia – the heart of Europe. However, this does not apply only to our country. Not only here, are these two shores that we can connect... They are all over the world. Therefore, I am asking everyone who, like me, believes that it is possible to connect the two shores again, to spread this idea and to spread it to their acquaintances, friends, your sons and daughters studying and working abroad... To anyone who lives anywhere, even beyond the borders.

Therefore, I am asking all of you, dear people, to get involved. Take your children, parents, invite friends, take some sparklers, make your video and share it on social media with hashtag #sparklerchallenge between December the 5th and 8th.

I also ask all media of any line of thoughts focus and both shores to support this idea!

Please, dear representatives of the media, all editors, moderators, publishers, journalists... all of you who have the power in your hands to spread the truth, information and goodness among people, to make the right decision!

I am also asking all the young content creators on social networks and in the entire media space who entertain us with their posts, bring interesting topics and information and show us the world from other points of view! Please try to handle this idea with sensitivity and dignity as well and invite your followers to join.

Please, dear representatives of culture and art! Actors, singers, writers, poets, directors and composers, musicians, and volunteers... I am asking you, who have always been creators of the space where dreams come true, where even the impossible is possible, where human goodness always wins... Forget what divides us. After all, you, artistic souls, are the ones who are able to see what does not yet exist, to see what others cannot see. Please support this idea and invite your fans too.

Please, dear representatives of education and upbringing! Secondary and primary school teachers, kindergarten teachers, educators, leaders of clubs, special educators, school psychologists, directors of schools and kindergartens, deans and rectors of universities and university professors... all those who taught us to read, write and think and were taught to be what it means to be a "human being". Please support this idea in your field of activity and contribute to it so that we look for ways toward each other and not away from each other again. Because we are clearly failing this subject.

I am asking all spiritual teachers, representatives of churches, pastors and priests, but also other leaders of movements who have love for their neighbour in the very essence of their teaching! No matter how different our beliefs may be, the belief in the existence of human goodness should always unite us with the same force. Therefore, I am asking you to spread this idea where you can.

Dear people,

I know that the greatest tragedies always bring out the purest humanity in us. When it comes to life, no one cares about political T -shirts or what news you watch.

Dear people,

we have seen many tragedies recently around the world... It seems as if our human world is beginning to lose its meaning……we all - don't let it be lost completely. Do we really want to wait for the most tragic test of correctness? Do we want this? Have no choice?

Let's seek humanity today. Maybe it is difficult, but it is still our choice, to which we are not forced by some terrifying, bloody and irreversible tragedy.

Thank you to everyone who supports this idea, who will continue to spread its message.

At the same time, I am asking everyone who has already given up and would perhaps feel like ridiculing this idea, discouraging people from participating in it and attacking me, to refrain from doing so and prefer to ignore this idea, which might one day save him too.

Thank you!
